Fashion's 'most wanted': Poster spells out the offence | WestLondonTodayFOR QUESTIONING CONCERNING THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN THE THEFT OF THE MARC JACOBS SPRING 2012 COLLECTION
ON WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 16, 2001, THE SUSPECT REPORTEDLY HEISTED THE ENTIRE 46-LOOK COLLECTION, INCLUDING HANDBAGS AND SHOES FROM THE EUROSTAR AS IT MADE ITS WAY EN ROUTE TO LONDON FROM PARIS FOR THE BRAND'S PRESS DAY. THE THIEF IS STILL AT LARGE AND IS NOW CONSIDERED DRESSED TO KILL.
The unveling of the posters also coincides with London Fashion Week and could be the designer's clever attempt to seek the help of fashion sleuths in what has remained an unsolved crime to date. The entire spring collecton consisted of skirts, cocktail dresses and tinsel. It was Jacobs' attempt to recreate the feel of a 'Southern dance hall. The collection was fortuitously described by Daily Beast writer Robin Givhan as a 'refreshing collection that went its own way'. West London shops and a growing number of West End-based designers have continued to fall prey to thieves in daring smash and grab raids wiping out entire collections and stocks.

Meanwhile London Fashion Week has given birth to another bag with its own life and celebrity namesake. The Del Rey joins a constellation of fashionable items - Alexa, also by Mulberry, christened after it-girl about town Alexa Chung - named after somebody famous for being well, famous. Mulberry, the British leather goods label unveiled the leather bag inspired by American songstress Lana Del Rey. Mulberry said: "Lana has mastered the style of Old Hollywood, mixing it with an edgy sense of fun. This contrast appeals to us, we love mixing eclectic references with classic details in the way that Lana does. The Del Rey bag is infused with this idea, combined with the easy sensibility and English commonsense practicality of our heritage icons. This exciting new addition to our family launches in May as part of our Autumn/Winter 2012 collection." The Del Rey is expected to burn a sizeable hole in the pockets of fashion lovers, it is set to retail around £1,000.
