Kensington blocks Crossrail trucks

Plans to use Holland Park Avenue, Notting Hill Gate, Pembridge Road and Pembridge Villas to transport material for the Crossrail tunnel have been withdrawn by Crossrail following opposition from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Had original plans gone ahead, It would have meant months of pollution and traffic congestion on some of the busiest roads in west London.
